Whirlpool Redesigns - Countertop Oven and Espresso Maker

With Whirlpool’s multiple brands and expansive appliance portfolio, there is a constant need to stay competitive. Internal market research showed their main competitors gaining more market favorability due to enhanced features, better price points, and stronger UX. My role was to help lead design work on the new KitchenAid Countertop Oven and Fully Automatic Espresso Maker, the goal being to translate new market features into a cohesive and intuitive user experience that would overall regain market share.

Entry points

The team initially proposed two main entry points, the first being an anchored chat banner and the second being a widget on the WhatsApp Business homepage. Both lead to the main sign up flow via a bottom sheet. The banner and widget would both be dismissed by opting into the sign up flow or by the close icon.
